How to Access Your WordPress Dashboard

As soon as your hosting is set up, you’ll receive an email with your WordPress login details. To access your dashboard, go to yourdomain.com/wp-admin, enter your credentials, and you’re in. This article covers how to log in, change your password, and secure your account.

Step 1: Go to Your WordPress Login Page #

In your browser, navigate to:

https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin

You can also bookmark this URL for quicker access in the future.

Step 2: Enter Your Login Credentials #

On the login screen, use the username and password provided in your TurboPress welcome email.

  • Username: (found in your email)
  • Password: (found in your email)

Click Log In to access your WordPress Dashboard.

Step 3: Change Your Password (Recommended) #

For security, we recommend changing your password after your first login:

  1. From the WordPress Dashboard, go to Users > Profile.
  2. Scroll down to Account Management.
  3. Click Set New Password.
  4. Save your new password.

Tip:
Use a strong password with a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters.

Step 4: Secure Your WordPress Account #

Keeping your WordPress login safe is crucial. Here are some quick security tips:

  • Use a strong, unique password.
  • Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) if you are familiar with plugins like Wordfence or miniOrange.
  • Limit login attempts with a security plugin.
  • Never share your login credentials by email or text.

    Click Lost your password? on the login page to reset it via email.
  • Login page not loading?
    Make sure your domain is pointed correctly to TurboPress and your SSL certificate has been issued (this usually happens automatically after pointing your domain).
